    Geriatric Care

Like humans, our pets naturally encounter increasing health problems as they age. If detected early, many diseases can be treated and controlled with appropriate medication and diet. Our furry friends are enjoying longer lifespans due to increased awareness of diseases, medical advancements, and the increased availability of veterinary care. Regular visits to the veterinarian, coupled with routine bloodwork and other diagnostic testing, are essential in picking up the first indication of a problem.
Our knowledgable team at Spring Veterinary Care is keen to help you understand your pet’s aging process. An old pet does not necessarily mean a pet that is lethargic, has a poor haircoat, or one that has bad teeth with odour. We aim to work with you to provide a good quality of life for your pets as they age.
